Paul Bouche, who was born on 1970, is an EMMY award-winning television producer & media personality. Bouche is the host, creator and producer of a variety of television and radio programs and serves as Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Astracanada Productions Inc. a Media Production Company located in Miami Florida since 1995. Bouche has worked as a TV and Radio Host and Comedian in the US and Latin America, performing as a Stand Up Comedian and on air television and radio personality. Mr. Bouche is best known for creating and hosting the television show known as A Oscuras Pero Encendidos between 1995 and 2001. In 2007, Paul launched ‘La Boca Loca de Paul’ a daily variety show originated in Miami which continues to air in syndication in various markets in the US, Puerto Rico and even Latin America.

He has Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a Minor in Drama from Loyola University in New Orleans and a Masters degree in TV & Radio from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Paul has taught at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School in New York. He also lectured at Barry University School of Comunications in Miami, FL and Miami International University Of Art and Design. In 1992, Bouche published the revealing study ‘Hola USA’ which analyzes the history, importance and influence of Spanish Language Television in the United States.

Career

From 1995 to 2001, Bouche produced and hosted A Oscuras Pero Encendidos; In The Dark But Turned On. It was his first Late Night Show specifically designed for the US Hispanic Market. He received an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 1997. In 1998, Galavisión (Univision’s cable network) signed a distribution deal to carry A Oscuras Pero Encendidos via cable TV to national Hispanic audiences in the US after starting as a local Miami production. The Telemundo Network signed the show for National TV broadcast in America and Puerto Rico in June 2000. Led by him A Oscuras Pero Encendidos, spent six years on the air and generated over 1100 hours of entertainment content for Hispanics in America. Paul launched the humorous talk show dubbed Sobre Ruedas for WQBA 1140AM, in 2000, a Univision Radio station in the city of Miami.

Paul also launched the national morning drive show ‘Arriba Con Paul’ for the Radio Unica Network reaching 80% of the Hispanic Market in the United States in September 2001. He hosted the Spanish Language version of the hit British television comedy talk show ‘So Graham Norton’ co-produced by So Television, Zeal Entertainment and Astracanada Productions Inc. in London in 2004. He hosted the ‘Advertising Age Hispanic creative Advertising Awards’ gala in 2006 and returned to television with ‘La Boca Loca De Paul’ (Paul’s Crazy Mouth) a daily(Monday to Friday) variety and comedy talk show in 2007. The show generated substantial rating increases in its time period, since its inception. Paul was tapped by Univision’s sister Network Telefutura to help launch and co-host of the national TV gossip show entitled ‘La Tijera’ in 2009.

The show dubbed ‘La Boca Loca De Paul’ launched nationally in the US and Puerto Rico through Mega TV in 2011. The format was able to score the top ratings for the station in the 18 to 49 and 25 to 54 demographics. Bouche conducted an international media seminar in San Jose, Costa Rica, in 2012 attended by 20 media companies and in 2014, he was invited by the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) to co-dictate the seminar ‘Advertising and Entertainment: a combined world of ideas’. He developed and produced the Online and TV series OFFSIDE (is a Sports Entertainment Late-night Variety Comedy Show) a TV Format created by Astracanada Productions in 2018. A mix of celebrity interviews, games, characters, discussion panels, comedy segments among others and all these were meant for entertainment.

In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Astracanada Productions Inc, in 2020, Bouche Launched their first exclusive You tube channel with daily clips from over 5000 hours of content owned by the company generated from 1995 until now. He worked in different production capacities for national broadcasting companies which include NBC, ABC and MTV, before founding Astracanada Productions in 1995. Bouche began his on camera work in 1992 performing in New York in various Standup Comedy shows and participating as a guest star in popular sitcoms and entertainment programs such as ‘La Pension de Doña Tere’, ‘En Casa de Juanma Roman’ and ‘Videoteces’ in a variety of supporting roles. He has created, developed and produced over 6000 hours of entertainment content in Spanish and English for Telemundo, Galavisión, América TV, Family Channel, USA Broadcasting, America TeVe, Caracol Television, Mega TV, Zeal Television in London and Casa Club TV, Univision Radio and Radio Unica, with Astracanada Productions.

Paul Bouche conducts media workshops and seminars for private and public entities as well as lectures at various universities in the US and abroad, in addition to Paul’s professional work in broadcasting.
