In 2006, Hayvi started her media career in Syria. She began working at Orient TV, where she hosted two entertainment TV shows known as ‘In and Out’ and ‘Dramatech’ after training at Sham TV between 2007 and 2008. She became a news correspondent for Orient News in Washington D.C in 2012. Hayvi became the Washington D.C. Bureau Chief, with a political news show known as ‘The Axis’. She interviews prominent U.S. officials, newsmakers and scholars, in this program. The show maintains coverage over U.S. politics and international relations between the United States, the Middle East and the wider Arab world. Hayvi has interviewed high-profile American officials such as John Kerry, John McCain, Jack Keane, Pete Sessions, Brian Hook, Adam Kinzinger, Elliot Engel, Heather Nauert, Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and European Government Ministers.
Bouzo conducted an interview with Ambassador Danny Danon, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations on March 20th, 2018. The two discussed the dire humanitarian situation in Syria and Israel’s response, the atrocities of the Assad Regime and other critical issues such as the threats posed by Iran, Hezbollah and terrorist organizations during this interview. The interview elicited a strong response and widespread coverage in the Middle East, both receiving neutral reactions and criticism from media outlets.
Hayvi Bouzo has participated in several private round-tables with President Donald J. Trump, since April 2018, where the two discussed the conflict in Syria, United States policy in the Middle East among other pressing issues.
