Dwayne Johnson, whose full name is Dwayne Douglas Johnson, who popularly known as The Rock, is an American-Canadian actor, producer, businessman, retired professional wrestler and former American football player. Dwayne wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) currently is called (WWE) for eight years prior to pursuing an acting career. Dwayne Johnson’s films have grossed over $3.5 billion in North America and more than $10.5 billion worldwide, making Johnson one of the highest-grossing actors of all time. Dwayne was a college football player for the University of Miami and in 1991, they won a national championship. Initially, Dwayne aspired for a professional career in football and entered the 1995 NFL Draft, though went undrafted. Dwayne signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) ,as a result, but was cut from the team in the middle of his first season. Dwayne began training as a professional wrestler, shortly after.

Dwayne secured a contract with the WWF in 1996 and was promoted as the first third-generation wrestler in the company’s history. Johnson rose to prominence after developing a charismatic persona of a boastful, trash-talking wrestler known as The Rock. He is the son to Ata Johnson and a former professional wrestler Rocky Johnson (real name: Wayde Douglas Bowles). Dwayne lived in New Zealand with his mother’s family, as he grew up, where he attended Richmond Road Primary School before returning to the United States. Then Dwayne attended Montclaire Elementary School in North Carolina before moving to Hamden, Connecticut, where he spent most of time at Shepherd Glen Elementary School and Hamden Middle School. Dwayne spent his high school years at President William McKinley High School in Honolulu within Hawaii, Glencliff High School and McGavock High School in Nashville within Tennessee and Freedom High School in Bethlehem within Pennsylvania. Dwayne was arrested multiple times for fighting, theft and check fraud before he was 17 years old. Dwayne also began playing sports where he joined his high schools’ gridiron football, track and field and wrestling teams.

Dany Garcia met Dwayne while attending college and the two got married on May 3, 1997. Together they had a daughter, Simone, who was born in August 2001. They were splitting up amicably, On June 1, 2007. Garcia got married to bodybuilder and TGC Management’s fitness industry brand consultant, Dave Rienzi, in 2014. Dany Garcia is also a bodybuilder and often credits the sport for shaping her relentless nature in business and in 2011, she first competed and went on to earn her IFBB Pro card in 2014. This is an American sports competition reality series which premiered on NBC on 3rd January, 2019. The show features people from entire America competing in endurance-based mental and physical challenges of ‘epic proportions’ for the title of Titan which hosted by Johnson. Titans will compete to ‘become the last male and female standing’ at the end of the season.

Dwayne was a promising football prospect and received offers from many Division I collegiate programs and decided on a full scholarship from the University of Miami where he mostly played defensive tackle. Johnson was on the Miami Hurricanes’ national championship team in 1991. He decided to pursue a career as a professional wrestler, after his football career. Veteran wrestler Pat Patterson got him several tryout matches with the WWF in 1996. Dwayne defeated The Brooklyn Brawler at a house show on March 10, under his real name, and lost matches to Chris Candido and Owen Hart. Dwayne signed a WWF contract after wrestling at Jerry Lawler’s United States Wrestling Association as Flex Kavana and winning the USWA World Tag Team Championship two times with Bart Sawyer in the summer of 1996. Dwayne received additional training from Tom Prichard, together with Achim Albrecht and Mark Henry.

Dwayne entered Hollywood and the film industry, becoming a star initially via his wrestling popularity and noted work ethic.
